Patience: Listen to God

Posted on Mon 02 February 2015 in Blog

As I write this, I am sitting in a airport waiting on a delayed flight. It is not that we don't have a airplane; we don't have a flight crew. A winter snowstorm that passed through the area (and later hit the East Coast) has caused the mess.

This set me thinking; what could I do with the time that I have? After all, time is a gift from God and should be used wisely. So I prayed and said "Lord, what should I do?" A few minutes later, the thought that I need to write this post crossed my mind.

One of my favorite verses in Psalms goes like this:

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (Psalms 90:12, KJV)

And another one is:

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16, KJV)

The point I am trying to make is this: All of our times are in God's hand. When he allows delays and problems to slow our progress, we need to check with him; it may be that he has better plans for us than we have!

Till next time,
