On War

Yesterday my employer announced that all employees must get vaccinated for Covid-19 by 13 December 2021. What happened if you could not or would not get vaccinated by that date was not clear, but the intent was; either get vaccinated or get fired. Apparently health reasons, philosophical or religious beliefs do not matter. It was announced that this was being done "to comply with president Joe Biden's executive order."

... so anyone who cannnot or does not get the vaccine by then will loose their job. How does that help prevent the spread of a disease that is now native to the earth?

It seems to me that the line between effective actions and absolute power on this issue was crossed a lone time ago. There is a war going on between those who are using it to seek more power and those who want to take that power from them for their own. Even with this happening, I come to the conclusion that I can live at peace. Why?

Read the Bible: God is in charge here. He will turn and turn again the affairs of man to his own will in spite of what man does. When in his judgement, man has filled his cup with evil, he will pour it back on man; as he has done so many times before. People grasping power will continue to use evil until he puts them to an end.

The mission has not changed. I am to continue to seek reality in this world, for it is the antedote to the madness of society. I am also to look at myself and seek to understand, that I not get caught up in my own flaws and ego. And I am to be a light to those who God brings to interact with me, that truth be made manifest, as he gives me the ability.

From what I understand, Zen Budhists in Japan have a saying, "Don't seek the truth. Just drop your opinions." One of the actions that comes from that is "Set aside what you believe and talk with the person who you don't like. You will be surprised at what you learn about that person - and about yourself."

It is not in fighting this, that or the other thing that truth is found. It is in understanding, for it brings peace.

smile Till next time, God willing;
