I have been in the habit of keeping a journal again the last 2 or 3 years, and I often close each entry by reflecting on my circumstances and writing a prayer. Each day's entry has it's own, because they are based on what is happening at that time. About the only common thread that they have is that I give thanks for being here another day. Here is what I wrote today:

    Lord, Thank You for Today,
        for you have given me another day on this earth.
    Thank You for doing the dance of life that you give me,
        and Thank You so much for the Love; a Love that rains on me
            like showers to the field.

    You keep me through all
        and I cannot say in words enough Thanks!
    How to express it, Lord, when the very life that utters "Thanks!" comes
        from a world and life that you created and called?

    You ARE, Lord, and I Thank You!
